100 % family diner! Our server made us feel right at home. Staff was friendly. We enjoyed the Country Fried Steak and sides, and the Chocolate Cream pie was amazing as a takeout for later in the evening. Quiet atmosphere and clean bathrooms
Food is excellent! I've been hoping to find a place with broasted chicken! The mid-day mid-week crowd trended to retirement aged folks, but it's worth stopping by.
If rating based on the food alone, it would be 4 stars. The fried chicken we got was unusually dark in color, and tasted like it had been made earlier in the morning and then simply warmed up when served. However, what makes up for the rating is the exceptional service. Our server, KC, was bubbly, friendly, and super accommodating. We were treated like locals even though it was pretty clear we were new to the place. She never made us feel out of place and really contributed to the small-town, mom-and-pop shop vibe we were looking for. Although we found the taste average, the portions are huge. The country style dinners come with 3 sides and a piece of bread, for only 9 (8.50 if you’re 55 and above).

May 2022 Edit, sadly, the past two times we have tried chicken there it was really dry, and the breast was oddly cut down the center, and tough. We will order something else next time. Our Place is family owned, and the chicken is amazing! Youre looking at typical old fashioned diner type food. The sides are the same as you would've gotten in the 70s from a Woolworth lunch counter. It's worth the trip if you love chicken, ribs or a good steak. Grab a jar of cinnamon hard tack candy...grandma really did make it. Cost of four pieces of broasted chicken and three sides....8.95.
